Dr. Yalowitz is a board-certified dermatologist who strives to provide the best quality medical care in a patient-centered, friendly, and compassionate office. She attended NYU Medical School after graduating from Yale University cum laude. She trained as an intern in internal medicine at NYU Medical Center, Bellevue and then served as Chief Resident in dermatology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Yalowitz has been practicing dermatology for over twenty years in Larchmont, where she raised her three children.

A board-certified dermatologist is a medical physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hair, skin, nails, and mucous membranes.

Becoming a board-certified dermatologist requires years of intense specialty training including: ​

  • Medical school (4 years)

  • Internship (1 year)

  • Dermatology residency (3 years)

  • Qualifying for and passing the vigorous board examination Board certification by the American Board of Dermatology

  • Continuing Education

In total, this training amounts to 16,000+ hours of patient care training to ensure that a board-certified dermatologist can expertly diagnose and treat over 3,000 dermatologic conditions!
